About
Ange-laure Pierre (b. 2002) Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, is a Haitian-American artist who utilizes text and graphic symbols. Pierre works in acrylic paint and focuses on the intimate and emotional relationships that toe the line between what is healthy and what is not. Highlighting complex subjects, her work delves into the psychology of the mind when experiencing contradicting emotions and feelings.
Her work has been exhibited at numerous galleries such as The Savage Gallery, Crossley Gallery, SPAACES, amongst others. She is currently gallery director of the Crossley Gallery at Ringling College of Art & Design. Pierre will receive her BFA in Fine Arts from Ringling College of Art & Design in May 2024 with a minor in Art History.
